Tatarstan at “Vibrant Gujarat”: New Avenues for Co Operation with India

A Russian delegation, led by the Trade Mission of the Russian Federation in India, took part in the conference “Vibrant Gujarat”, held in Surat on 1–2 May.

The delegation comprised representatives of the Republic of Tatarstan and companies from the banking sector, e-commerce, construction, and technology.

The programme included:
- Russian Country Seminar sessions;
- B2B and B2G meetings with Indian partners;
- talks with the government of the state of Gujarat.

Following the visit, the parties agreed to deepen inter regional co operation and expand the participation of Indian partners in joint projects.

Particular attention was paid to the “TIME: Russia – India” business forum in Kazan, which is becoming one of the key platforms for holding open dialogue, launching pilot schemes, and building long term partnerships.

“Direct talks between companies allow us to move from intentions to solid projects, and establish sustainable co operation chains,” Andrey Sobolev, Russia’s Trade Representative in India, noted.

The willingness of Russia and India to expand their collaboration across industry, technology, as well as regional initiatives was confirmed once again at “Vibrant Gujarat”.
