The opening ceremony of the Indian Consulates General in Yekaterinburg and Kazan was held in Moscow.

The ceremony was attended by Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.

"If we talk about Kazan, we already have a dozen different consulates general of foreign countries, but the opening of the Indian consulate general is a special event for us. It can be said that it was long-awaited. This decision is another significant event in the history of Russian-Indian relations. Our governments and business communities are working hard to develop this cooperation. Tatarstan is making its regional contribution to the development of these relations. As you know, the first Russian-Indian Business Forum TIME was successfully held in Kazan recently. We will continue this work," said Gazinur Bakirov, Assistant to the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, during the ceremony.
