On July 15, in Tianjin, on the sidelines of the SCO Ministerial Council meeting, Sergey Lavrov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, met with S. Jaishankar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of India.
The foreign ministers discussed important topics on the bilateral and international agenda, as well as the schedule of upcoming contacts. They confirmed their mutual commitment to further intensify the multifaceted Russian-Indian special privileged strategic partnership at all levels.
They agreed to continue coordinating their approaches to cooperation between Russia and India in key multilateral formats.
