Mr. Jaisundkhar has been appointed Consul General of the Republic of India in Kazan

This is stated in an official letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, signed by Sergey Lavrov, the head of the Ministry.
The consular district within which Mr. Jaisundkhar performs consular functions includes the republics of Tatarstan, Adygea, Bashkortostan, Dagestan, Ingushetia, Kalmykia, North Ossetia-Alania, Chechnya, Karachay-Cherkessia, and Kabardino-Balkaria. As well as the Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories, the Astrakhan, Volgograd, Orenburg, Rostov, Samara, and Saratov Regions.
"When performing consular functions, Mr. Jaisundkhar enjoys all the rights and privileges granted to consular officials of foreign states in the Russian Federation in accordance with the legislation applicable to these officials and the international treaties concluded by the Russian Federation," the letter states.
