“For millions of residents of Tatarstan and throughout Russia, Indian culture has become an integral part of their cultural heritage with cinema playing a significant role in this. Indian cinema, beloved by many generations of Russians, is a powerful bridge of friendship between our cultures. That is why the annual participation of Indian cinema professionals and films in the Kazan International Film Festival “Altyn Minbar” has become a truly warm and valuable tradition for us. Hosting the Indian Film Festival in Kazan is an important step in strengthening our cultural dialogue. I am confident that this project will not only provide audience with unforgettable experience but will also open new horizons for joint creativity, deepening the multifaceted cooperation between Tatarstan and India,” noted Irada Ayupova, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan.
