Tatarstan is consistently stepping up its trade and economic cooperation with India. At the end of 2025, trade turnover between Tatarstan and India stood at around 400 million US dollars, compared to approximately 360 million US dollars the previous year. Perspectives on further expanding ties will be discussed at the Russian-Indian Business Forum ‘TIME’ in Kazan. The Republic of Tatarstan serves as a pivotal focal point in strengthening economic development, actively supporting both countries’ initiative to increase bilateral trade turnover to 100 billion US dollars by 2030.
‘There is undoubtedly potential for growth. The current trade volume can hardly be considered the limit for an economy of Tatarstan’s scale and a market like India. That being said, I would not set the task of chasing a specific figure. It is far more important to expand the product range, launch joint projects and establish sustainable B2B ties,’ noted Sergey Katyrin.
