A press conference on the upcoming TIME: Russia – India. Mutual Efficiency Russian-Indian business forum was held at the TASS International Press Centre in Moscow. The event will take place on 8-9 October 2025 at the Bashir Rameyev IT Park in Kazan.
Head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina, representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Alexander Kozlov, representative of the Embassy of India to Russia Ramkumar Thangaraj, Vice Director of the UN Information Centre in Moscow Vladimir Pavinsky, President of the Indian Business Alliance Sammy Kotwani and Honorary Representative of India’s Pharmaceutical Export Promotion Council Divesh Kumar participated in the discussion.
The speakers emphasised the particular importance of regional platforms for developing international cooperation.
Head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina announced that approximately 20 agreements on education and business were planned to be signed during the forum. The event expects around 2,000 participants, including officials from the Indian federal government and administrations of Indian states. The ambassador of India to the Russian Federation is also expected to participate in the forum.
“India is now one of the world’s largest economies, the most populous country with a vast domestic market, low inflation and sustained GDP growth of 6.5% as of last year. India’s scientific and technological development and opportunities of the Russian market lay foundation for strategic alliances that can form the basis for joint globally competitive ventures. At the same time, entrepreneurs from both countries still do not know each other well enough: Indian businesses have a limited understanding of the Russian economy’s potential, while we have not fully discovered the scale of the Indian market. This vacuum needs to be filled. This is precisely why we are creating a new Russian-Indian platform for interregional cooperation and business collaboration,” stressed Minullina.
The forum programme will cover more than 12 industry sections – from investments, finance and education to IT, medicine, agriculture and the film industry. The cultural segment includes an Indian film festival, a lecture on Mahatma Gandhi, food tastings, master classes, concerts, a digital art exhibition and an international cricket match.
Initiatives of the forum for developing business infrastructure were supported by representatives of major corporations that highlighted the growing interest in joint projects. Managing Director of Sberbank’s branch in India Ivan Nosov noted: “Mutual efficiency is becoming a key vector of trade and economic relations between Russia and India. The strategic partnership between the two countries is opening more attractive conditions and opportunities for businesses. We observe steady growing interest from our clients in both countries: in the first eight months of 2025, the total number of companies working in the Indian direction increased by 27%. Furthermore, we are confident about the importance of cultural exchange between Russia and India and support this integration within the Russia – India: Mutual Efficiency forum. Sber is already a partner in this area, and we plan to continue supporting initiatives within the cultural exchange between the two countries.”
Registration for participants and media accreditation are available on the official website: https://time-forum.ru/.
