The Bank of Russia plans to open a representative office in India

The Central Bank of the Russian Federation is working on opening its own representative office in Mumbai, India. According to TASS, the new body will be supervised by Vladimir Chistyukhin, the First Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank, who is also responsible for the work of a similar agency in China.

The new representative office will help to strengthen cooperation between the regulators of the two countries, promote financial cooperation, and expand trade and economic relations.
