Kazan at the BRICS Platform: Advancing Dialogue with India

A meeting of the BRICS Cities and Municipalities Association took place in New Delhi, bringing together mayors from 50 cities across various countries.

Kazan was represented at the international platform by a delegation from the Republic of Tatarstan. During the meetings, participants discussed key challenges facing modern cities — ranging from digital transformation and sustainable development to tourism and urban infrastructure.

An agreement on cooperation between the All‑India Institute of Local Self‑Government and the Association of Volga Region Cities is scheduled to be signed, along with another cooperation agreement between cities in Russia and India.

Such formats open up new opportunities for practical collaboration and expanding partnerships between Tatarstan and India.
