Kazan Federal University (KFU)
Kazan Federal University is one of Russia’s largest and oldest universities, founded in 1804. Today, the university comprises 18 research and educational units and 3 branches, with more than 47,000 students, over 400 educational laboratories, and more than 600 academic programs. KFU conducts research in natural sciences, medicine, IT, engineering, chemistry, geology, biotechnology, and other fields.
A distinctive feature of the excursion is the opportunity to explore the historic university complex on Kremlevskaya Street while also discovering its modern research infrastructure. KFU offers guided programs that include visits to museums and laboratories, including physics, chemistry, and forensic science laboratories. The university is also home to the KFU History Museum, Ethnographic, Geological and Zoological Museums, the E. K. Zavoisky Museum-Laboratory, a planetarium, and other educational and research facilities.
