A masterfully written comic incident (with dramatic consequences, however, for some participants in the intrigue), based on the disappearance of a pair of gold-embroidered women's shoes, became a wonderful reason for composing an action where his Majesty laughter rules the ball, and the pictures of life (in ornate plot twists) are reflected in the mirror of witty theatrical provocation.
